Arizona Elk Hunting- Guided Trophy Elk Hunts

We feel that there is truly no greater animal in all of God's creation than a big bull elk. Arizona is famous for producing world class elk due to great genetics and management for older age class bulls.  Several hunt units are managed by our Game & Fish Department on an Alternative Management Program.  These units are managed for higher bull to cow ratios and an older age class of bulls.  Other units are managed for higher elk numbers and hunter opportunity.  We are here to help you with hunt choices, the application process, and your ultimate Arizona elk hunting experience!

We are Arizona's original Elk Specialty Outfitter & Guide Service. Your Arizona elk hunt with Elk Camp Guide Service will be expertly planned and tailored to target trophy bulls and to fit your needs. Rest assured that your elk hunt with us will be a quality experience from start to finish.

Archery: September 13th- 26th
Arizona's archery hunt occurs during the rut and offers a hunting experience that will never be forgotten.  The bugling is intense and affords our hunters the opportunity to witness mature bulls up close each day.  Our methods of hunting include: Calling, spot & stalk, and sitting water (tanks). This hunt typically produces our best bulls!

Rut Firearms: September 27th- October 3rd
The "Trophy" Rifle & Muzzleloader hunts are timed during the absolute peak rut.  The rutting activity is outstanding and the herd bulls are vulnerable during this time.  Our hunters can hunt for a world class bull and enjoy the thrill of rut hunting with a firearm. Very difficult tags to draw. Our methods of hunting include: calling, and spot & stalk.

Post Rut Muzzleloader: November 8-14th Unit 10, Nov 15-21st Unit 6A
Overall, a tough hunt but has the potential to produce trophy class bulls. Hunting methods: Spot & stalk. Our glassing skills & local knowledge of the unit will make the difference on your hunt!

Late Archery: Nov. 15-28th (in most units)
This archery hunt occurs after the rut. However, there are only 25-100 tags issued per unit resulting in a hunt with very low pressure on the elk.  Not an easy hunt, but the opportunity to see lots of elk and have a successful hunt.  Hunting methods: Spot & stalk, and sitting water.  Allow our experience and local knowledge of your unit to go to work for you on this hunt.

Late Rifle: November 29- Dec 5th
These hunts occur after the rut.  The mature bulls have separated from the cows and are much harder to locate during this time of the year.  The elk are also very pressured due to high tag numbers.  Hunting methods: Spot & stalk, and still hunting. Our elk savvy, skill, glassing ability, extensive local knowledge, and persistence will make the difference for you on this hunt.
