We feel that there is truly no greater animal in all of God's creation than a big bull elk. Arizona is famous for producing world class elk due to great genetics and management for older age class bulls.
Your elk hunt with Chappell Guide Service will be expertly planned and tailored to fit your needs. Rest assured that your elk hunt with us will be a quality experience from start to finish.

Archery: September 14th-27th
Arizona's archery hunt occurs during the rut and offers a hunting experience that will never be forgotten. The bugling is intense and affords our hunters the opportunity to witness mature bulls up close each day. This hunt typically produces our best bulls!
Rut Firearms: September 28th-October 4th
The "Trophy" Rifle & Muzzleloader hunts are timed during the absolute peak rut. The rutting activity is outstanding and the herd bulls are vulnerable during this time. Our hunters can hunt for a world class bull and enjoy the thrill of rut hunting with a firearm.
Post Rut Rifle: October 26th-29th (4 day season)
New hunt started in 2010. 4 day season. Potential for some bugling, but not a rut hunt. Limited numbers of tags in select units. Overall, a tough hunt but has the potential to produce trophy class bulls. Put our glassing and calling skills on your side for success.
Late Rifle: Nov. 30th-Dec. 6th
These hunts occur after the rut. The mature bulls have separated from the cows and are much harder to locate during this time of the year. The elk are also very pressured due to high tag numbers. Our elk savvy, skill, glassing ability and persistence will make the difference for you on this hunt.
